Embracing the human experience

As adults, we spend the majority of our time judging and calculating what’s wrong with our exterior. We have ideas of how people need to behave, ideas of how we need to behave - of rules and regulations that we spend the majority of our struggling to try to function within our social experience. We are always comparing and categorizing everything and everyone around us, always trying to box ourselves into an ‘ideal’ way of being.
We have learned to blame our human experience as the source of our discontent. We believe there is some thing fundamentally wrong with it.
We have learned to judge our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. We have learned to judge our peers and friends, our parents, our political and religious leaders. Our financial situation, the state of the environment, certain ethnic groups, our sexual preferences - there are so many aspects of our human experience that we have learned to judge that it would be quicker to list the one we haven’t.
And let’s not forget the judgements we have of our own bodies. Modern society has an ever-increasing obsession with youth and physical beauty. As we fight against the scale, the wrinkles, we are fighting against the illusion of time.
As I tweeted, time is our most valuable asset, yet we tend to waste it, kill it, and spend it rather than invest it. (@kannytheng)
The second facet helps us rise above these judgements and complaints of the intellect to embrace the world around us with innocent, joyful acceptance.
From the perception of love-consciousness, there is nothing wrongs the present moment vibrates in unity - there is no duality when we are anchored in the here and now. When we experience love-consciousness, we realize that everything is perfect exactly as it is.

Make no mistake // this does not mean we shouldn’t want to improve our situations and grow as people. Evolution is the nature of life, and everything is always moving forward // but if we choose to embrace the beauty of what is happening right now, instead of focusing on what we perceive as wrong, love grows, instead of fear. In doing that, we become increasingly empowered to make positive changes in our lives. When we bring ourselves ever deeper into love-consciousness, our external circumstances become ever more enriching and fulfilling.
